Four Moorpark men and a juvenile were under arrest Thursday in connection with the stabbing of a 22-year-old man who was attacked outside his home.

Honorio Rogel of Moorpark was working on his car in the 200 block of 2nd Street when the group approached and confronted him, police said. There has been a continuing dispute between the men, police said.

Rogel was treated for a single knife wound to his thigh at Los Robles Regional Medical Center and released, Sheriff’s Lt. William Montijo said. Deputies arrested the assailants on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Montijo said.

Booked in County Jail were brothers Isaias Jimenez, 25, and Gabino Jimenez, 23, along with brothers Antonio Izem, 31, and Jose Izem, 23. A 16-year-old male who was also arrested was taken to Juvenile Hall, Montijo said.

In the incident Wednesday, the Jimenez brothers are accused of starting a fistfight with Rogel, and kicking him after he was knocked to the ground, Montijo said. The fight culminated with the stabbing of Rogel. While the others fought, the Izems prevented Rogel’s friends from defending him, Montijo said.
