Trends of the Moment

Here is what has been selling this Christmas season in some favorite teen-age stores:

* The Limited: Brightly colored wool blazers, oversize sweaters and short suede skirts.

* Contempo Casuals: Young teens were buying denim jackets and oversize denim jeans in bright colors, while the older set was sliding into tight velour and spandex dresses topped with black leather motorcycle jackets.

* Express: Oversize sweaters, either in bright solids or floral patterns, high-waisted stirrup pants, denim separates and hats.

* Oak Tree: Pants, jackets and shirts from a new Los Angeles-based company called Cross Colours. Young men were snatching up hooded shirts, oversize denim anoraks dyed in bright colors and super baggy jeans by U Men.
