LA HABRA — A La Habra women with the mental capacity of a child has been missing since she wandered from her residence Thursday afternoon, police said.
Gladys Opal Gividen, 79, was discovered missing from The Meadows of La Habra, a senior citizens facility at 200 W. Whittier Blvd., said Sgt. Kevin Raisch. Raisch said Gividen has been diagnosed with dementia, which has reduced her mental capacity, and “she is unable to communicate effectively.”
Gividen is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, about 125 pounds, with green eyes and red hair. When she was last seen she was wearing a red sweater, dark blue polyester pants, white tennis shoes and a black and gray sweater-jacket, police said.
Police asked anyone with information about Gividen to call the La Habra Police Department at (310) 905-9750.
