Mayor Fired Over Plan to Annul Traffic Tickets
A mayor who proposed that $77,000 in traffic tickets be annulled as a symbol of compassion during the Christmas season has been removed from office.

The board said Meadows also failed to sign warrant checks to pay for a new City Hall, left board meetings early and embarrassed town officials after his arrest for allegedly poking a sheriff’s deputy in the chest.
