Youth Slain, Girl Wounded in 2 Gang-Related Shootings
Two gang-related Christmas shootings were blamed for the death of a 13-year-old boy in Rosemead and the wounding of a 10-year-old girl in Hollywood, authorities said.
Debra Briceno, 10, was riding with her brother in the 700 block of North Manhattan Place late Christmas Eve when his truck was hit by shots, police said. The girl was in critical condition with a head wound at Childrens Hospital.
In Rosemead, Rudy Revoloreo, 13, of Los Angeles was shot Wednesday morning while accompanying his father on a Christmas visit, Deputy Mary Landreth said.
A lone gunman walked up and fired at the passing van in the 2600 block of Brighton Street. A suspect was arrested six hours later and booked on suspicion of murder, deputies said.
