Marina del Rey : Development Limits OKd
Councilwoman Ruth Galanter’s proposed restrictions on new commercial development in commercial and industrial areas of Marina del Rey were unanimously approved last week by the City Planning Commission.
The commission’s action limits heights on most commercial projects to 45 feet, reduces the density of commercial projects by two-thirds and allows projects that include housing to remain at existing density levels. The proposal would also require all projects over 25,000 square feet to include recycling facilities.
The zoning proposal must still be approved by the City Council’s Planning and Land Use Management Committee.
