Repeal of Zionism Resolution

Share

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger, who introduced the repeal of the 1975 “Zionism is racism” resolution, stated that the repeal would recover for the United Nations “its reputation for fairness and impartiality.”

With that in mind, Eagleburger should also lobby for the repeal of the 1947 plan for the partition of Palestine. The United States pressured several Third World nations into voting for a resolution that gave half of Palestine to the Jews, who made up only 33% of the population and owned only 8% of the land. If “recovering the U.N.’s reputation” means repealing unfair and unjust resolutions, then the 1947 “Palestine plan” should be immediately repealed.
