COLLEGE FOOTBALL / BOWL REPORT : BLOCKBUSTER : Difference Begins at Quarterback
The quarterback matchup in the Blockbuster Bowl pits Colorado’s three-year starter against Alabama’s three-game starter.
“That’s the starting point as far as the difference in the teams,” Alabama Coach Gene Stallings said.
No. 15 Colorado (8-2-1) will be led Saturday night by senior Darian Hagan, who in three seasons has directed the Buffaloes to 28 victories and a national championship. No. 8 Alabama (10-1) will go with redshirt freshman Jay Barker, who replaced senior Danny Woodson for the final three games of the regular season.
