‘92 Race for the Presidency
I will vote for any Democrat who names Mario Cuomo as his vice presidential running mate and promises to resign the day after election. This would be a sort of reverse spin on the Bush-Quayle impeachment insurance ploy.
It worked for Bush; maybe this variation is a viable way to draft a President of character and substance.
