Winters, Padres Executive, Dies
Jim Winters, the Padres’ director of broadcasting, died Thursday morning of cancer. He was 61.
Winters has been director of broadcasting for the Padres since 1985. He previously served in the same capacity for the Cincinnati Reds and New York Mets.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, and three children.
