VENTURA : Transient Found Stabbed Near Hotel
A transient was in serious condition at Ventura County Medical Center Monday after undergoing surgery for stab wounds, police said.
The victim, identified only as Kevin, was found Sunday night by a desk attendant near the front door of the La Quinta Inn on Valentine Road, Ventura Police Detective Doug Auldridge said.
He was stabbed in the chest, stomach and throat, apparently just before 8 p.m. in the motel parking lot, Auldridge said.
Police have not been able to locate any witnesses to the stabbing, Auldridge said.
“The victim has been unable to give a statement. We are waiting for his condition to improve before interviewing him, which we hope will give us some leads,” Auldridge said.
