A man was kidnaped Monday by two assailants who stole his truck and cash and forced him to lie on the truck’s floor while they drove to Anaheim, police said.

The victim, whose name and age were not released, called police after he was let out of his truck on Weir Canyon Road at the Riverside Freeway in Anaheim, Fountain Valley Police Sgt. Kevin Thomas said.

Police said the assailants, described only as about 18 and 25 years old, approached the victim at 12:15 p.m. as he left a Bank of America branch at 16192 Harbor Blvd., where he had done some personal banking, with a bag of money he was going to deposit at another bank for Big O Tires, where he works.

Police said the victim told them one man showed him a handgun and the pair then forced him into the cab of his 1990 Mitsubishi pickup, which one of them drove.

No one has been arrested.
