BIRD ADVICE: The Humane Society says it’s looking into the dispute over coot shooting on man-made Lake Mission Viejo. The 14-year practice by a homeowners group, annoyed by the birds, is already under federal inquiry. . . . Eric Sakach, spokesman for the animal rights group, says perhaps the birds could be kept alive but harassed off the lake with remote-control boats. “If you want to build a lake without coots, you should build a bubble,” he says.
