FREEWAY REPAIRS

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are identified by the nearest city or cities.

ARTESIA FREEWAY (91)

* Cerritos: Eastbound connector to the northbound San Gabriel River Freeway (605); 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. today; guardrail repair.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

* Bell: Northbound alternating lanes on the transition road to westbound Florence Avenue; 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday; stencil repair.

* Various cities: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes between Humphreys Avenue in East Los Angeles and the Los Angeles River crossing in South Gate; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; sweeping.

* South Gate: Northbound No. 4 lane from the Los Angeles River to Firestone Boulevard, plus the Firestone Boulevard off-ramp; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; guardrail repair.

* Bell: Southbound on-ramp at Atlantic Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday; guardrail repair.

SAN DIEGO FREEWAY (405)

* Carson: Southbound No. 1 lane from Wilmington Avenue to Alameda Street; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday; clean storm drain inlets.

* Long Beach: Southbound No. 1 lane from the Los Angeles River to Long Beach Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; clean storm drain inlets. The procedure will be continued at the same times Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between Lakewood Boulevard and the San Gabriel River.

SAN GABRIEL RIVER FREEWAY (605)

* Whittier: Northbound No. 4 lane from Beverly Boulevard to Rose Hills Road, plus the Beverly Boulevard on-ramp; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; guardrail repair.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

* Commerce: Southbound on-ramp at Slauson Avenue; 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday; stencil painting.

* La Mirada: Northbound No. 4 lane from Artesia Boulevard to Valley View Avenue; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; fence repair.

* Santa Fe Springs: Northbound No. 4 lane from Alondra Boulevard to Carmenita Road; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; fence repair.

* La Mirada, Santa Fe Springs and Norwalk: Northbound No. 4 lane from Artesia Boulevard to Rosecrans Avenue; 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday; landscaping.

TERMINAL ISLAND FREEWAY (47)

* Long Beach: Southbound lanes from the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Drawbridge to Ocean Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; bridge abutment repair.

* Wilmington: Southbound No. 3 lane from Anaheim Street to the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Drawbridge; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday; bridge abutment repair. The procedure will be repeated at the same times Friday closing the northbound No. 3 lane from the bridge to Anaheim Street.
