Geese Watching--The Canada geese are back at Quail Hill in Irvine. They return each year to feed on the slopes of the hill, which is visible from the San Diego Freeway.

The UCI Outdoor Cooperative Program will have a Quail Hill Goosewatch trip at 8 a.m. Wednesday. Those who would like to go are asked to meet at the end of Sand Canyon Avenue on the south side of the San Diego Freeway. The group will watch this year’s flock from the Sand Canyon off-ramp off the freeway.

Caspers Day Hike--The UCI Outdoor Cooperative Program is also sponsoring a 6.7-mile round-trip day hike at Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park on Saturday.

Hikers will traverse the East Ridge/Bell Canyon Loop, passing through coastal sage scrub and oak and sycamore woodlands.
