It can be tough enough going to work, and the day can be a washout when it’s raining. But true to the motto, the spirit of mail carriers--in some cases, caped crusaders--was not dampened by a few drops. Unfortunately, it’s hard to make too much of a splash if Mom’s umbrella is close at hand. But on days such as this in South Pasadena, San Marino and Pasadena, keeping your head above water is not part of the plan--going under cover is. The difficult part is finding a free hand for turn signals.
