WELDON CANYON : Hearing Planned on Landfill Report
The public will have a final opportunity to comment on the environmental report for the proposed Weldon Canyon landfill during the project’s last scheduled public hearing this afternoon.
The Ventura County Environmental Report Review Committee is expected to decide whether the report is technically adequate and ready for review by the Board of Supervisors after the 1:30 p.m. hearing at the Government Center.
The review had been scheduled to end last month, but the committee voted unanimously to extend the comment period five weeks after residents asked for more time to analyze negative impacts listed in the document.
