‘Fiestas Navidenas’ at Southwest Museum
“Fiestas Navidenas,” a one-day workshop on Mexican American Christmas crafts and celebrations will be held Saturday at the Southwest Museum.
The program will include hands-on classes by traditional artists skilled in migajon (bread dough) sculpture and papel picado (paper cutting), as well as lectures on “The Art and Ceremony of Christmas in Mexico” and “Using Folklore in the Classroom: A Teacher’s Perspective.”
