San Diego : Offices to Close on King Holiday

All San Diego County schools, as well as city, county and state offices, will be closed Monday for the national holiday to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

City and county libraries will also be closed, as will banks, post offices, federal offices and all courts.

There will be no trash collection Monday, but the city landfill at Miramar will be open until 4:30 p.m. All trash collection will be picked up one day later.

Parking meter rules will not be enforced.

Most of the city recreation centers will be closed, but all of the county parks will remain open.

The golf courses at Balboa and Torrey Pines will be open, but there will be an added rate at the Torrey Pines facility.

Municipal offices will remain open in four cities: Chula Vista, Lemon Grove City, National City and Poway.
