Looking for a sure bet this Super Bowl weekend? Wager anyone that San Diego will have warm, pleasant weather.

Three consecutive summer-like days will keep San Diegans basking in sunshine, according to Wilbur Shigehara, chief forecaster for the National Weather Service in San Diego.

A Santa Ana wind condition will raise today’s temperatures about five degrees above normal for this time of year. In January, the normal high for San Diego is 65 degrees.

The Santa Ana will depart today, as the high pressure system over the area dissipates. Once it leaves, temperatures around the county will drop a few degrees, Shigehara said.

The coastal area, including downtown, will have high temperatures between 68 and 77 degrees. Saturday and Sunday the high temperatures will reach the low 70s. Low temperatures this weekend will be mild, between 42 and 52 degrees, Shigehara said.

The inland areas will have warm weather today, with a high temperature in the low 80s. High temperature for the rest of the weekend will be in the 70s. Low temperatures will be in the 40s all weekend.

The beaches will have a high temperature of 66 degrees today, and the high mark will reach 63 degrees the rest of the weekend. Waves will peak at nearly 5 feet on Saturday and Sunday, Shigehara said.

The mountains will have clear, fair weather with a high near 66 degrees, and low temperatures in the 27 to 37 degree range.

The high temperature in the deserts will reach 80 degrees today, and 77 degrees on Saturday and Sunday. Lows temperatures will be between 37 and 47 degrees.
