Freeze Frame: The art world’s latest recession victim is Santa Monica College’s Photography Gallery, which will close Feb. 12. Director Robert Godwin blamed the closure on state budget cuts which have reduced the college’s funding by 10-15%. The gallery was one of the state’s few public spaces to focus exclusively on photography.
