More than 130 fans were arrested at the Guns N’ Roses concert at the San Diego Sports Arena, raising the total number of arrests for the rock band’s two shows to more than 200, police said.
San Diego police spokesman Bill Robinson said Wednesday that a decision was made to double the security at Monday and Tuesday nights’ performances based on the band’s reputation for drawing a more “physical” crowd, and from talking to other police departments in cities where the band has performed.
During Tuesday’s show, more than 40 people were ejected from the San Diego Sports Arena, 14 people were treated by a nurse and one person was taken to a hospital, police said.
