Freeway Repairs : Caltrans Issues Advisory About Scheduled Roadway Work Areas

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following road and freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are spotted on the map by number, and are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities.

HARBOR FREEWAY (110)

1. Carson: Southbound Harbor Freeway (110) connector to theeastbound Artesia Freeway; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; patching.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

2. Bell: Southbound on-ramp from eastbound Florence Boulevard; 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday; sign repair.

3. East Los Angeles: No. 2 lane of the southbound Long Beach Freeway (710) connector to the westbound Pomona Freeway (60); 6 to 9 a.m. Saturday; sign repair.

4. Long Beach: Northbound No. 1 lane at Del Amo Boulevard; 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday; bridge repair.

POMONA FREEWAY (60)

5. Industry: Eastbound No. 5 lane from 7th Avenue to Crossroads Parkway, and the Crossroads Parkway on-ramp; 6:30 to 11 a.m. today; stenciling.

6. Montebello: Westbound No. 4 lane from Markland Avenue to Garfield Avenue; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday; sign repair.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

7. East Los Angeles: Northbound on-ramp at Calzona Street; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday; sign repair.

8. East Los Angeles: Southbound No. 5 lane from Ditman Avenue to the southbound Long Beach Freeway (710), plus the on-ramps at Triggs Street and Ditman Avenue, and the off-ramp at Olympic Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday; landscaping.

9. Various cities: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes between Lakewood Boulevard and Artesia Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; sweeping.

10. Long Beach: Eastbound No. 2 lane at the San Gabriel River bridge; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday; bridge repair.

11. Long Beach: Westbound alternating lanes at the San Gabriel River bridge; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday; bridge repair.

TERMINAL ISLAND FREEWAY (47)

12. Long Beach: Northbound No. 3 lane at the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Drawbridge; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and Thursday; bridge inspection.

13. Long Beach: Northbound No. 3 lane at the Union Pacific Railroad overhead; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; bridge inspection.

14. Long Beach: Southbound No. 3 lane at the Union Pacific Railroad overhead; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; bridge inspection.
