An Immigrant in Westwood: Mark Harelik’s play “The Immigrant: A Hamilton county album” is heading for the Westwood Playhouse for four weeks, opening March 9. Harelik based his play on his grandfather, telling the story of a young Russian immigrant who arrives penniless in a tiny Texas town in 1909. “The Immigrant” played at the Mark Taper Forum in 1986, following its world premiere in Denver the year before. Cast in this production are Larry Belkin, Barbara Bradshaw, Jim Cordes and Judith Townsend.
