Trust Fund Set Up for Girl Shot in Gang Fight

Share

A trust fund was established Thursday for Cristal Anguio, the South-Central Los Angeles girl who was struck in the heart Sunday by a bullet fired during a gang fight but who managed to carry her 2-year-old brother to safety.

Officials said checks made to “SAVE for Cristal Flores Anguio” may be sent to the Special Assistance Victims Emergency program at the Los Angeles district attorney’s office, 210 W. Temple St., Room 12-311, Los Angeles 90012. Additional information can be obtained by calling (213) 974-7499.

Los Angeles Police Lt. Bruce Hagerty said that the fund--created in response to the hundreds of offers to help the girl--was a cooperative effort among the department and several agencies, including the city attorney’s office.
