Man Arrested in Jewelry Store Theft
YORBA LINDA — Police arrested a Placentia man Thursday as he was allegedly removing a case of gold bracelets from a jewelry store.
Police said that when officers responding to a silent alarm arrived at Fazzare Jewelers, 4889 Main St., at 1:50 a.m., they saw a man carrying a case of bracelets from the window. Police arrested Miguel Naranjo Cortez, 29, without incident, Officer Mark Hanna said.
Brea police, who patrol Yorba Linda, said they were still looking for a second man who ran from the store.
Cortez was held in lieu of $10,000 bail, according to Orange County Central Jail officials.
