A man sought for more than five years on murder charges and who was profiled on the TV show “L.A.’s Most Wanted” surrendered today at the Seal Beach Police Station.

Frank Rodriguez, 41, wanted in connection with the Aug. 30, 1986, death of Armando Galloway, 30, walked into the police station with his attorney and surrendered to Los Angeles County sheriff’s homicide detectives, said sheriff’s spokesman John Ashley.

The killing occurred near Bartmus Street and Elkgrove Avenue in Commerce after the men became embroiled in a dispute, Ashley said.

Detectives later obtained an arrest warrant for Rodriguez, who fled and had been on the run since, Ashley said. Rodriguez was booked on suspicion of murder and held without bail.

Ashley said relatives of Rodriguez talked him into surrendering after he was profiled on the television show Jan. 31.
