Caltrans Issues Advisory About Scheduled Freeway Work Areas

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are spotted on the map by number and are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities.

ARTESIA FREEWAY (91)

1. Cerritos: Eastbound connector from the Artesia Freeway (91) to the northbound San Gabriel River Freeway (605); 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. today; guardrail repair.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

2. East Los Angeles: Southbound No. 1 and 2 lanes from Ramona Boulevard to Olympic Boulevard; 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday; marker repair.

3. Long Beach: Northbound and southbound connector from the Long Beach Freeway (710) to the southbound San Diego Freeway (405); 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today; road maintenance.

4. Various cities: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes from Humphreys Avenue to the Los Angeles River; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; sweeping.

SAN GABRIEL RIVER FREEWAY (605)

5. Cerritos: Southbound No. 5 lane from the Studebaker Road undercrossing to South Street; 9 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday; sign repair.

6. Downey: Southbound No. 5 lane from Telegraph Road to the Santa Ana Freeway (5) junction, the southbound San Gabriel River Freeway (605) connector to the northbound Santa Ana Freeway (5), and the Telegraph Road on-ramp; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday; guardrail repair.

7. Whittier: Northbound on-ramp from eastbound Whittier Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and Tuesday; landscaping.

8. Whittier: Northbound on-ramp from westbound Whittier Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday; landscaping.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

9. Commerce: Northbound alternating lanes on the Garfield Avenue off-ramp and on-ramp; 6:30 to 11 a.m. today; stencil repair.

10. Downey: Northbound No. 4 lane at Lakewood Boulevard and the southbound Lakewood Boulevard on-ramp; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday; guardrail repair.

11. East Los Angeles: Southbound No. 5 lane from Ditman Avenue to Olympic Boulevard, and the Olympic Boulevard off-ramp; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; attenuator repair.

12. La Mirada: Northbound No. 4 lane from Artesia Boulevard to Rosecrans Avenue; 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday; landscaping.

TERMINAL ISLAND FREEWAY (47)

13. Long Beach: Southbound No. 1 and 2 lanes from the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Drawbridge to Ocean Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday; bridge repair.

14. Long Beach: Southbound No. 3 lane from the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Drawbridge to Ocean Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday; bridge repair.

15. Long Beach: Southbound No. 1 and 2 lanes from Anaheim Street to the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Drawbridge; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday; bridge repair.

16. Long Beach: Southbound No. 3 lane from Anaheim Street to the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Drawbridge; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday; bridge repair.
