6-Car Crash Kills Man in Northridge
One man died and several other people were injured Saturday in a six-car crash in Northridge, Los Angeles police said.
Jean M. Decrais, 71, of Granada Hills was pronounced dead at the scene, Sgt. John Amott said.
The same man apparently caused the accident by running a red light at Plummer Street and Hayvenhurst Avenue about 1:40 p.m., striking a pickup truck broadside, Amott said.
No details were available on other victims, who were treated for minor injuries at Granada Hills Community Hospital and Northridge Hospital Medical Center, Amott said.
