Heating up ‘Swan Lake’: England’s Northern Ballet Theater has found a way to kick the recession’s effect on attendance--spice up that old perennial, “Swan Lake.” A curious public snapped up tickets for the first night after a newspaper critic said he thought one sequence in the revised ballet simulated oral sex. The ballet company said its new mildly erotic production of the Tchaikovsky classic wasn’t meant to shock but allowed as how it did include a mock striptease. Princess Margaret met the company backstage after the opening performance, and choreographer Dennis Wayne reported: “She said we were brave. She seemed to enjoy it.”
