Iraq War

I have just read the Jan. 28 letters and I am totally appalled. I am a U.S. Marine and I also served in the Persian Gulf for eight months. I must ask, “where are these people’s brains?”

All of you people that are so willing to put down this country and its actions in the Gulf, take a good look at yourselves. Look at your lives and your families. Think of all the things that you can do and the freedoms that you have. You have so much that you take it for granted!

The people over there would give anything to live the life we have. I’ve seen these people. I’ve seen the relief and hope in their eyes when we rolled into Kuwait. That is what it is all about! That is what made it all worthwhile! The next time you want to complain about this country, remember there are a lot worse places to live in this world.
