A Moorpark College wrestler has pleaded guilty to charges that he committed a rash of house burglaries last month in eastern Ventura County.

Todd Hoult, 19, admitted charges Monday that he stole electronics, guns and jewelry from four homes in Moorpark, Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks between Jan. 7 and 14.

Hoult and two teammates were arrested Jan. 14 as they fled the site of a burglary in the 1500 block of El Monte Drive in Thousand Oaks, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Kim Gibbons.

Hoult, who is scheduled to be sentenced April 16, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, Gibbons said.

Teammate Justin James, 19, pleaded guilty last month to three counts of burglary and faces up to 10 years in prison, Gibbons said. James’ sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 28.

The other teammate, Christopher Camarena, 19, pleaded not guilty to one count of burglary. A Municipal Court judge has ordered him to stand trial.

Camarena’s arraignment in Superior Court is scheduled for Feb. 24.

All three men are free after posting $10,000 bond.

Gibbons said county sheriff’s deputies found dozens of stolen items in the apartment that Hoult and James shared in Moorpark.
