NEWPORT BEACH : Former ‘Star Wars’ Chief Will Speak
The former head of Air Force space defense programs, better known as “Star Wars,” will discuss national security issues here Sunday in light of the breakup of the Soviet Union.
Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Robert Bowman, now president of the Institute for Space and Security Studies, will speak at 7 p.m. at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, 2100 Mar Vista.
Bowman is the author of “Star Wars: Defense or Death Star?”
