Three Ventura teen-agers were arrested on suspicion stealing golf carts and using them to vandalize a synagogue’s landscaping, police said Friday.
The juveniles, whose names were not released because of their ages, were arrested Thursday at about 10:45 p.m. when Ventura County sheriff’s deputies responded to calls about people riding carts on a stretch of Foothill Road in unincorporated parts of the city, police said.
Deputies found three teen-agers at the Temple Beth Torah at 7620 Foothill Road, police said. The golf carts had damaged landscaping, sprinkler heads and plumbing, police said.
The carts were taken from a locked storage area at the Saticoy Regional Golf Course, police said.
