Doctors in Lincoln, Neb., said a woman allegedly assaulted by Nebraska football player Scott Baldwin is progressing but her brain damage was severe.
Gina Simanek, 23, suffered head injuries and a separated shoulder when she was assaulted Jan. 18 outside her apartment.
Baldwin is charged with first-degree assault and assault of a police officer.
