Movie Company Buys Film Library for TV

World Wide Motion Pictures Corp. of Huntington Beach has bought a library of feature films and variety shows and is packaging them with local ads for Paragon Cable. Linda Waters, a spokeswoman for World Wide, said the cable company reaches 91,000 homes in Huntington Beach, Westminster, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Stanton and Los Alamitos.

World Wide’s first production aired Feb. 14. “KJ Country” was a variety show of family country music.

Future variety shows will feature artists from Tommy Dorsey to Elton John. The library also includes documentaries with hosts Leonard Nimoy and Barbara Walters.
