TWA Plans Flights to Moscow: Trans World Airlines plans to begin twice-weekly service on March 17 from New York to Moscow, connecting through Brussels. It will compete with Delta Air Lines, which began flying to Moscow last year when it purchased most of the remaining transatlantic routes held by now-defunct Pan American World Airways. For years, Pan Am had been the only U.S. carrier with scheduled service to Moscow.
