SPRING VALLEY : Trial Date Set for Alleged Molester

A former Sunday school teacher at a Spring Valley fundamentalist church will go on trial Sept. 21 on 52 child molestation counts.
Dale Akiki, 34, of La Mesa pleaded not guilty Thursday before San Diego Superior Court Judge Frederic Link, who set the trial date. Akiki is accused of molesting 10 children, ages 5 to 7, who attended Sunday school at Faith Chapel in 1989.
Akiki, who was arrested last May, remains in County Jail without bail.
