Fair Will Offer Loan Help, Free Credit Checks

Share

Borrowing can be harrowing, as anyone who has gotten in line for a home mortgage or a refinancing recently can attest.

At the third annual Los Angeles Times’ Home Buyers and Sellers Fair, consumers can learn all about loans available from commercial lenders and government agencies, see how much house they can afford by pre-qualifying for a mortgage and get a free checkup on their credit history.

The fair will be held Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The fair will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days and is presented this year in cooperation with La Opinion, the nation’s largest Spanish-language newspaper.

Two full days of consumer-oriented question-and-answer programs will feature real estate industry experts providing up-to-the-minute guidance on home buying, selling, mortgages and taxes.

More than 50 exhibitors will be on hand for you to talk with at their booths.

There will also be a special question-and-answer panel on first-time buyer home loans presented by the Federal National Mortgage Assn.
