The Times today is launching two new local news features, both of which will appear every Monday.
Cityscape columns authored by members of The Times staff, will give readers an unusual perspective on people and aspects of Southern California life that might otherwise be overlooked in the rush of events. Curbside L.A. and L.A. Scene will be informative graphic presentations of the offbeat, unique, whimsical and historical sides of Greater Los Angeles.
To make room for these features and other local news, The Times is discontinuing the Monday science page. News and feature stories on science, medicine and health will continue to appear throughout the paper. The Science Calendar feature will appear every Tuesday on page B2.
