OXNARD : Developer Seeks Site for 128 Homes

A Ventura developer has filed an application to put 128 pre-built homes on a 19-acre site south of Pleasant Valley Road and north of Pacific Coast Highway in Oxnard.
Komorowski Development proposes to set homes on foundations on the site, where two-car garages would be built for each house, said Alex Herrera, assistant planner for Oxnard.
Komorowski has requested a zone change from agricultural to residential use and that the city annex the 19-acre county parcel, which is owned by W.J.M. Zwinkles, Herrera said.
Richard Komorowski, president of the company, said he hopes to sell the three-bedroom homes for less than $145,000 each.
Herrera said Komorowski must conduct traffic and drainage studies before the application package reaches the Planning Commission for review. And because Herrera suspects that there may be Chumash Indian remains on the site, he has asked for an archeological study as well.
Komorowski would have to install two miles of sewer and water lines, Herrera said.
