Headline Is Misleading
I object to your headline “City Hall’s Arch Enemies” on Feb. 17. The article regarding the position of Citizens for a Safe and Scenic Simi Valley on the proposed McDonald’s restaurant and police firing-range issues was fairly accurate. However, the headline was extremely misleading.
Although we oppose the mayor’s and City Council members’ present stand on the issues, we have reacted in a proper and responsible manner. We have simply exercised our rights as citizens to make our concerns and desires known. Our inputs have been through letters, phone calls and statements at a City Council meeting.
We expect the city government to listen to us and act within the law to carry out their duties. So far, they have listened and have responded with further studies on both issues.
