Homing in on Congress: Coldwell Banker Residential Group in Mission Viejo is launching a national push in support of tax credits for home buyers, an idea currently being debated in Congress.

The campaign features national and local print advertising with the headline, “Get Your Congressman to Help You Buy a House,” and urges people to write letters supporting legislation to help home buyers.

“We feel the overall economic effect will help everyone, not just buyers, sellers or the real estate industry,” said Chandler B. Barton, chairman and chief executive of the real estate firm. “On average, every three (new) home sales results in the creation of one job. The ripple effect of the housing industry is tremendous, from landscapers and lumber to furniture and appliance industries, to name a few.”
