A Mission Viejo woman who was involved in a traffic accident with a county employee driving a pickup truck agreed to settle her lawsuit against the county for $168,500, attorneys said Thursday.
“We think it’s a strong settlement,” said Mitch Jackson, the attorney for Lesley Douglass.
Douglass, 35, was driving through an intersection in Santa Ana on July 23, 1990, when the driver of the pickup truck allegedly ran a stop sign, Jackson said. She suffered a dislocated hip, cuts to her face and injuries to her right knee as a result of the collision, he said.
Barry Allen, the attorney for the county, said the settlement was reached Monday and was “very fair” to both sides.
