WESTMINSTER — Ending a six-week investigation, authorities on Thursday arrested six Westminster men suspected of participating in a series of burglaries that netted about $1.5 million in property and computer chips.
The six, ages 18 to 26, were booked on suspicion of robbery, burglary and possession of stolen property and were held in lieu of $500,000 each at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department jail in Walnut, authorities said.
Sheriff’s detectives said the men are suspected of nine daytime residential burglaries in Diamond Bar over the last six weeks. In two instances, the men are suspected of tying up women who walked in while the men were burglarizing their homes, authorities said.
Investigators served a search warrant about 6:30 a.m. at a home at 14142 Riverton Circle, where they recovered more than $1 million in computer chips, authorities said. Investigators also found about $500,000 in stolen guns, jewelry, cameras, VCRs and televisions.
The suspects said they all live at the Riverton Circle house, Sheriff’s Detective Richard Berner said.
