CONEJO VALLEY : Discussion Planned on AIDS Education

Share

Parents and residents will have an opportunity to learn more about HIV and AIDS at a panel discussion tonight presented by the Conejo Council of PTAs.

Four speakers are scheduled to provide information about state-mandated education on acquired immune deficiency syndrome, related curriculum taught in the Conejo Valley Unified School District and ideas on how to discuss the subject with children.

This is the first panel on AIDS sponsored by the local PTA.

“We think it’s real important for people to be educated, because it’s such a serious situation,” said Terri Marshall, first vice president in charge of programs for the Conejo Council of PTAs. “We’re trying to get the facts out.”
