SAN DIEGO : Bullet Hits Trailer, Kills Woman Inside
A 25-year-old Logan Heights woman who was tucking her 8-year-old son into bed was killed late Sunday when a bullet fired from outside her trailer struck her in the back of the head.
Maneulla Garcia, who lived in the trailer with her husband and three children, was struck about 9 p.m., police spokesman Bill Robinson said.
She was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center, where she died two hours later.
There are no suspects.
Robinson said several people attending a party next door to Garcia’s trailer were questioned by homicide detectives and released.
Detectives are trying to determine whether the fatal bullet was directed at the trailer or was fired randomly.
