Glendora : Library Director Criticized
City Councilman David Bodley on Tuesday criticized Library Director Constance Tiffany for writing a letter to county residents that he said sounded like a threat.
The recent letter told residents of unincorporated areas bordering the city that they would have to pay $25 a year for a city library card and suggested that those who want to avoid the fee consider being annexed to Glendora.
“It’s not our job to tell people they should be annexed,” Bodley said.
City Manager Art Cook said the annexation paragraph was added at his suggestion because some non-residents had asked how to avoid the fee.
