Share

The parents of a Thousand Oaks woman who has been missing since March 3 are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to her safe return and are posting flyers throughout the San Fernando Valley.

Robert Huter, a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses, said church members are working with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department in the search for Nancy Lorraine Huter, 36.

“I want to some way find out something about my daughter,” Huter said.

About 40 people have been posting flyers with the woman’s picture and description in the San Fernando Valley, Calabasas and Malibu Canyon areas, Huter said.

The woman, who lived with a roommate in Thousand Oaks, was reported missing March 4, less than 24 hours after her last known business appointment in Calabasas.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Detective Ernie Montagna said Wednesday that Nancy Huter was seen March 3 walking west along Mulholland Highway. She was wearing a long dress with a brown and yellow pattern. Her white Honda Accord was found three days later.

Montagna asked that anyone who may have seen Huter walking along the highway west of Las Virgenes Road about 3:25 p.m. March 3 or anyone who may have seen or met with her between noon and 3:30 p.m. that day to call the major crime unit in the sheriff’s east valley office at (805) 494-8200 or (805) 494-8216.
