Richard C. Niblack; Architect Helped Design Forum, NASA Center

Richard C. Niblack, 63, an architect who helped design the Forum in Inglewood and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. In 1953, Niblack joined the firm of Pereira & Luckman, which became the Luckman Partnership in 1977. During his 24 years with the firm, Niblack built a design team that received 98 awards for design excellence. Projects included the 62-story First Interstate Bank headquarters and the Broadway Plaza complex in Los Angeles, the fourth Madison Square Garden in New York and Aloha Stadium in Hawaii. In La Jolla on Feb. 14 of cancer.
